Citroen Basalt: Exterior and Dimensions
The Citroen Basalt’s production version stays true to its initial sketches, swapping gloss black for matte plastic cladding. It shares underpinnings with the C3 Aircross, featuring a similar front fascia with projector headlamps, a first for a C-cubed model in India. Its profile includes squared-off wheel arch cladding, a pinched window line, and a smooth roofline, riding on 17-inch alloy wheels but retaining the C3 Aircross’s pull-type door handles. The rear has a contoured tailgate, 3D-effect halogen tail lamps, and a dual-tone bumper in black and silver.
On launch it’ll get 7 Colour Options, out of which 5 are Monotone Body Colours – Polar White, Steel Grey, Platinum Grey, Cosmo Blue, Garnet Red; and 2 Dual-tone Colours – Polar White with Platinum Grey Roof, and Garnet Red Body with Perla Nera Black Roof.

Citroen Basalt: Interior
Inside, the Citroen Basalt features an upgraded dashboard with a new HVAC panel, digital readouts, toggle switches, and auto AC, replacing the manual AC from the C3 Aircross. It includes a larger front armrest with storage, restyled rear headrests, and adjustable thigh support for the rear bench seat. The boot holds up to 470 litres, and there are rear AC vents. The Basalt retains the 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch all-digital instrument cluster in higher-spec variants, a three-spoke steering wheel, a 15W wireless smartphone charger, and connected car tech. Citroen’s C-Cubed design motifs and a mix of gloss black and textured surfaces enhance the interior’s look and feel.

The Basalt Coupe SUV will be sporting features such as Automatic Climate Control, Rear AC, 10.25-inch Infotainment System with Wireless Apple Carplay & Android Auto, 7-inch Digital Driver’s Display, Wireless Charging Pad, 16-inch Alloy Wheels, Adjustable under-thigh support, and few more.
On safety side, the coupe SUV will be equipped with 6 Airbags as standard, Rear Parking Camera, Hill Start Assist, ABS with EBD, Manual Day and Night IRVM, Traction Control, and so on.
Citroen is expected to price the SUV somewhere between Rs. 11 lakhs to Rs. 16 lakhs.
